Comet Daily at Google I/O

by Dylan SchiemannMay 28th, 2008

Alex Russell, Andrew Betts, and I are at Google I/O. Since we’re at I/O, some questions I’d like to ask:

  • Where are the Google Real-time data sources (stock quotes mash-up, anyone?)
  • Will the Google Gears for Mobile session (”…create slick and responsive applications by hiding latency issues through controlled data caching and storage between sessions…”) talk about polling and Comet techniques?
  • Will Google App Engine add Comet server support?
  • How soon can we get a dojox.cometd cross-domain profile built and deployed to the new Ajax Libraries API?

Also, if you’re attending, post a response on Twitter, seek us out at Alex’s talk, or send us an email.
